This Privacy Policy forms part of, and is incorporated by reference into, our Terms of Service.

By accessing or using our platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please discontinue use of the platform immediately.


1. Applicable Laws and Regulatory Framework

This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 (قانون حماية البيانات الشخصية رقم 151 لسنة 2020) and its implementing regulations, which serve as our primary data protection framework.

For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, this Policy also complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU 2016/679) and the UK GDPR, as applicable.

Where there is any conflict between the requirements of Egyptian law and other applicable regulations, we will comply with the stricter standard.


2. Information We Collect

Personal Information: When you register, enrol in courses, or interact with our platform, we may collect your full name, email address, phone number, date of birth, billing address, and payment information.

Account and Profile Data: Username, authentication credentials (if applicable), profile picture, bio, educational background, professional experience, and preferred language settings.

Learning and Course Data: Course enrolment records, progress tracking, quiz and exam scores, assignment submissions, completion certificates, time spent on each module, video watch history, and learning analytics.

Live Session Data: Audio and video recordings of Live Sessions in which you participate, chat messages exchanged during sessions, attendance records, and any content you share during Live Sessions. By participating in a Live Session, you consent to this data being collected and processed in accordance with this Policy and our Terms of Service.

Communication Data: Messages exchanged between students and instructors, discussion forum posts, course reviews and ratings, and support ticket correspondence.

Technical Data: IP address, browser type and version, device information, operating system, access times, pages viewed, referring URLs, and cookies/tracking identifiers.

Payment Data: Transaction history, payment method details (processed securely by third-party payment providers), invoices, refund records, and subscription status.


3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your account, process course enrolments, and deliver educational content and services through our Learning Management System (LMS).
  • To track your learning progress, generate completion certificates, provide personalised course recommendations, and improve your overall learning experience.
  • To process payments, manage subscriptions, process transactions including any applicable refund requests, and send transaction-related communications including receipts and invoices.
  • To record and archive Live Sessions for quality assurance, replay availability, and educational purposes, as described in our Terms of Service.
  • To facilitate communication between students and instructors, enable discussion forums, and provide customer support.
  • To analyse platform usage patterns, monitor video engagement and content analytics, improve our courses and platform features, and conduct educational research (in anonymised/aggregated form).
  • To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, prevent fraud, and protect the security and integrity of our platform.
  • To send you marketing communications about new courses, promotions, and platform updates (with your consent, and with easy opt-out options).

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Our processing of your personal data is based on one or more of the following legal grounds, in accordance with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and, where applicable to EEA/UK users, the GDPR:

Contractual Necessity: Processing necessary for the performance of our contract with you, including providing access to courses, processing payments, issuing certificates, and delivering Live Session recordings.

Consent: Where you have given clear and informed consent for us to process your personal data for specific purposes, such as marketing communications, non-essential cookies, and participation in recorded Live Sessions.

Legitimate Interests: Processing necessary for our legitimate business interests, such as improving our platform, conducting analytics, ensuring security, and preventing fraud, provided these do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.

Legal Obligation: Processing necessary to comply with applicable laws and regulations, including Egyptian tax law, financial reporting requirements, and data protection obligations under Law 151/2020.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

8. Data Retention

In particular, financial and transaction records may be retained for up to five (5) years in compliance with Egyptian tax law and the Egyptian Commercial Code.

Learning records such as course completion and certification data may be retained in anonymised form for statistical and research purposes.


9. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data, including SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit, AES-256 encryption for data at rest, and secure server infrastructure.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to promptly addressing any security incidents.


10. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach, we will:

  • Notify the Egyptian Data Protection Centre within seventy-two (72) hours of becoming aware of the breach, in accordance with Article 7 of the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.
  • Notify affected individuals without undue delay if the breach is likely to result in a high risk to their rights and freedoms.
  • Document all breaches, including the facts of the breach, its effects, and the remedial actions taken.

11. Children's Privacy

Our platform is not intended for children under the age of thirteen (13). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under thirteen (13).

Users between the ages of thirteen (13) and eighteen (18) may only use the platform with verified parental or legal guardian consent, as set forth in our Terms of Service. In such cases, we collect and process their personal data solely in accordance with the consent provided by their parent or legal guardian and in compliance with applicable law.

For transfers outside the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission or other lawful transfer mechanisms under the GDPR.
